Villa Don Camillo is a very nice fully detached villa with large swimming pool, nice views on the sea, the village and the mountains, petanque-range, 2 BBQ’s, several covered terraces, a very calm location yet only at 5 km’s from the nice beaches. The villa has airco in all bedrooms and the lounge and a brand new dual LNB digital HD satelite receiver with 37″ full HD SHARP flat screen LCD TV-set. Completed with free INTERNET and WiFi (download volume 200 Gb/month).

Pets are not allowed at Villa Don Camillo.

General description

Our Villa Don Camillio is very well equipped for 6 people .

The villa is situated in a very calm area (urbanisación) on a hill near the village of Calonge in the North-Easterly province of Girona. Calonge lies 8 km away from the well known Platja d’Aro in the hart of the Spanish Costa Brava. Casa Don Camillio is at 90 km from the airport of Barcelona and at only 30 km of Girona. In the surrounding neighbourhood you’ll find famous places like Palamos, Pallafrugel, San Feliu de Guixols, Tossa de Mar, etc.

Small teraceThe parcel lies on the easterly part of the hill , is approx. 1.000 m² large and fully enclosed by fences. Inside these fences there is room for 2 cars. The garden is well maintained and is fully illuminated at night. The garden is also equipped with an automatic sprinkler system which , by dry weather , takes care of the necessary watering. There is also a “petanque”-range.

The villa has a private swimming pool, 3 bedrooms all with airco, 2 bathrooms, a livingroom with open fire place, a separate lounge with airco and wood stove, a kitchen and several terraces, 2 of which are covered. There is also a large b-b-q in the garden near the swimming pool and we have installed a 2nd fixed BBQ near the large covered terrace so as to enable outdoor “summer cooking”!!!

At less than 7 km’s, just at the entrance of Platje d’Aro, you can find a big outdoor aquatic paradize with several large swimming pools and water glides. Fun enough for the kids for a couple of hours. A large parking lot just outside.

You’ll find 2 supermarkets within a range of 3 km (village of Calonge) – the beach and shopping centre are at less than 4 km in San Antoni de Calonge. For the tennis players amongst you, our village has several courts that can be reserved. And also the golf fanatics can find all they need on the splendid Mas Nou Golf Course at 10 km distance, in Santa Christina d’Aro at 15 km or many others within a range of 30 km.


Details of the villa

  • Garden and parking: inside of the enclosed garden, there is parking for up to 2 cars and/or scooters or motor cycles. It also contains a petanque range.
  • Swimming pool: irregular shape – 12,5 x 5 m – depth : 1 to 2,3 m – illuminated at night – equipped with a fully automatic filter system that guarantees absolutely clean water – maintenance is done twice a week. The pool is not heated and is in principle open from May 1st till end October. The temperature of the water can get in summer as high as 30°C ! !
  • Kitchen: equipped with dish washer, large fridge with freezer, cooking plate on gas, an integrated large multi-function micro wave oven and ample storage space. This kitchen has been completely re-furbished during winter 2004-2005.
  • Living: large table, open fire place, sofa, radio-CD, access to the small covered terras, cupboard with ample cutlery.
  • Naya: this is the 8m² living room terace which is covered and closed by folding windows that can be opened towards the pool area in summertime.
  • Lounge: 20m² and equipped with wood stove, airco, sleeping sofa, sofa with table and chairs, storage, HI-FI system, 37″ HD Sharp LCD TV with DVD player and satelite receiver for the ASTRA-channels.
  • Entry hall: you can find here a large fully integrated ward robe where there is ample space for the vaccuum cleaner, the gas bottle, the iron board, etc.
  • Master bedroom: 31m² – doubble bed (160 x 200 cm), storage space, airco, 2 night tables, airco, ceiling fan, access to roof terrace where integral sun tans are possible for 2 to 3 persons, in all discretion. This terrace offers superb views over the bay of Palamos, the mountains and the village.
  • Bedroom 2: doubble bed (150 x 195 cm), night table, storage space, heating, airco.
  • Bedroom 3: 2 single person beds (80 x 195 cm) which can be transformed into king-size bed, heating, airco and ample storage space..
  • Bathroom 1: bathtub with hand shower, lavabo, WC, heating and washing machine..
  • Bathroom 2: enclosed shower compartment, lavabo, heating and WC. Has been completely re-furbished during winter 2004-2005.



  • Free 40 Mbits broadband internet with WIFI and 6 PIN’s allowing you to connect your devices (laptops, smartphones, tablest, etc). These PIN’s will also enable you to surf while you’re on the beach at St Antoni de Calonge.
  • HD satelite receiver and 37″ HD Sharp LCD TV, HiFi, CD-player
  • Washing machine

If you have found on the planning a suitable period for your holidays, please fill in this reservation form which will be send automatically to us by e-mail. You will receive within 48 hours a confirmation of the reservation together with some information as to the next steps. Of course, you may always take direct CONTACT with us.

Please bare in mind … that your reservation will only be fully confirmed upon reception of your payment of an upfront of 35% of the total price on our bank account and the reception of your properly completed and signed rental agreement. We shall also require a copy of an official (legal) proof of identity such as a valid identity card or passport. See below for all details of our bank account. Until 2 months prior to the start of the rental period, there will be a cancellation fee of 25% of total rental price. Should the reservation be cancelled after this period, the full upfront will be lost.

Each rental period starts on Saturdays at 16h and finishes on the end day at 11h.

The keys to the villa will only be sent over upon reception on our bank account of the full balance and waranty.

Energy: the cost for energy (electricity, gas and water) is 45 EUR/week and is payable together with the rental balance (see rental procedure).

Guarantee : we are requesting the payment of a guarantee of 350 EUR per individual rental period. This guarantee is used for potential damage to the inventory or the house and/or loss of the keys. It will be fully (or partially) refunded upon receipt of the keys, after your return from holiday and after control of the inventory and house through our team on site.

Cleaning : although the contract requests you to leave the house in pristine condition, there is no need to clean the villa upon departure. We have people who will do a thorough cleaning of the house after you have left. The fee is included in the rental prices.

Bed linen and towels: for the moment we unfortunately can’t offer this service. We are still working on an acceptable solution.


The rental procedure

  • Fill in the reservations form that you can find on this site
  • Click the SUBMIT-button onderaan at the end of the form to send it via e-mail
  • You will receive a confirmation e-mail from us with all fruther information
  • Go to the contract on this site, print a copy, fill in and sign
  • Send it scanned via e-mail or on paper via postal services to us
  • Don’t forget to add a copy of your proof of identity (card or passport)
  • You will need to pay 35% as a deposit to our bank account (see below)
  • Your reservation is now fully confirmed
  • Latest 30 days before start of your rental, you’ll need to pay the remaining 65% + the energy+ the 350EUR guarantee to our bank account
  • Approx. 2 weeks before start of rental, we shall send you the keys and extra information to your postal address
  • You will be allowed to use the house from 16h on the starting day
  • We then wish you a nice vacation



  • There are no other costs or taxes.

You’ll receive a confirmation when the payment has been added to our own Paypal account.
  • An extra charge of 4% will however have to be added to the price for the extra PAYPAL comissions that we incur for this service.
